The Cup of Life

  The urge to sit and pen down the blistering thoughts emerging out of the vacuum created by “The Odyssey” (some may call it a movie; I feel it an epic in itself) is real and so prominent that it surpasses all the earthly lavishes for a moment. The following views are personnel and are solely my opinions. MY BLOG MIGHT LOOK LIKE A SPOILER ALERT, BUT THE STORY OF “THE ODYSSEY” IS A BITTERSWEET BEFORE WATCHING IT. There was a rise of civilization, a meaning to what is right and what is wrong, a shape to the gods along with the devils and a home to cherish. As time passed, the language of humans changed. The truth turned into lies, the honest turned into deception and the wittiness turned into cunningness. “The Odyssey” is a future born out of one deception, one lie and one cunning thought, famously “The Trojan Horse”. The movie takes you through a story of how to finally disclose the story of where. I take you though the values, ideologies, meanings that I decipher out of it. ...

  1. “Svadharme nidhanam śreyaḥ, paradharmo bhayāvahaḥ.” - “It is better to perform one’s own duty imperfectly than to perform another’s duty perfectly. The duty of another is fraught with danger.” Meaning: If each person sincerely fulfills their own responsibilities — however small — society remains balanced. Chaos begins when people neglect their own roles or interfere in others’. 2.  Confucius : “When everyone performs their duties according to their station, harmony will prevail.”

  The age old convictions designate God as the creator of earth and of the life on earth. We believe that during the descent of god even the devil had put its feet on earth so as to counteract the good and the right way. According to Christianity, God surely did not create the devil but he did give the options to Adam Eve to choose their own path or follow the path of their creator. This was the time when devil showed up and created a deception of what really a human could be without the chains of restrictions, thus abandoning the very words of god and in turn creating a conflicting world with rivalries over light, life and liberty. There’s always a necessity to know what truly the human beings deserve and why they victimize the devil to be unpleasant and cruel??? To put on with a layman’s words, god was personified by our forefathers to help build a positive approach towards life when someone was hurt and the devil was an illusion created by the people to protect their interests...
